A multi-function analog delay effect powered by BBD chips
In order to get that classic analog delay sound, we selected the famous 3205 BBD chip. There are three delay modes: “short”, “both” (short/long), and “long”. The “short” mode uses one BBD chip, providing a delay time of up to 300 ms with a clear delay sound and minimal decline in audio quality. The “long” mode uses all three of the BBD chips, allowing you to specify a delay time up to 900 ms for warm-sounding delay trails. The “both” mode mixes the short and long delays, giving an ambient tonal character. It's a multi-purpose design that lets you use either one or all three of the BBD chips. In addition, an independent modulation knob lets you adjust the chorus effect. For example in “both” mode, applying modulation will give you an amazing sound that's like a trinity of delay, reverb, and chorus.

In addition to distortion sounds that are ideal for heavy riffs or soloing, you can also obtain cutting high-gain lead sounds. It provides a mid-shift switch that lets you change the band where the mid-range peaks. Turning this off gives you a broad range with an emphasized attack. Turning it on will shift the band to be more suitable for lead playing.

Newly-developed Hi-Volt technology that overturns expectations for compact effect units
Hi-Volt technology enables the vacuum tube to operate at 200V while still running on a battery. This enables a true tube-driven sound that overturns your expectations for a compact effect unit.

What is Hi-Volt?
VOX has revealed a new vacuum tube circuit technology called Hi-Volt. It delivers high voltage (200V) to a 12AX7 vacuum tube by using 6x AA batteries or the DC9V power supply.

The discrete circuit works at 20V, which is still considered high voltage operation compared to other general effects products. The result is a natural and dynamic tone which is similar to that of a vacuum tube amplifier. Even though vacuum tubes are considered big by modern component size standards, our engineers were able to keep these pedals small, so you don’t have to worry about them taking up too much space on your pedal board.

Gain control that lets you vary the character of your sound
The transistor amplification circuit has also received a good deal of consideration. We've designed the gain control so that adjusting its position does not simply change the amplitude, but will also change the tonal character in a subtle way. From zero to max, it yields an array of highly usable and natural distortion tones.

Carefully designed power supply circuit that extends vacuum tube lifespan
Since high current flows through a vacuum tube when the power is turned on, we have provided a heater current slow start circuit that extends the lifespan of the vacuum tube and also avoids malfunctions for the AC adapter.

Relentlessly honed all-discrete circuitry
The internal structure of the Tone Garage series contains absolutely no integrated circuits such as op-amp ICs; it consists only of individual parts such as transistors, resistors, capacitors, and coils. In other words, this series uses unmistakably all-discrete circuitry. Guided by a relentlessly honed design philosophy, only carefully selected parts are used. These pedals provide an excellent response to the subtle picking nuances of the discerning guitarist.

True bypass design for confidence even when the effect is off
In addition to superb sound quality, great effect designs must also take into account what’s happening when bypassed. The Tone Garage series uses a true bypass design, ensuring that the sound of your guitar will not be compromised or colored when the effect is bypassed. Since the on/off switch uses a high-performance relay designed for small signals, the true tone of the guitar itself will be output without any deterioration of the sound.

Sturdy aluminum die-cast body for outstanding durability
Each pedal in the Tone Garage series features a tough aluminum die-cast body for outstanding durability. It will stand up to hard knocks during your stage performances. Simply seeing the killer graphics is enough to rev your motor and take your performance up a notch. Over the years, numerous delay effects have come along; tape echoes, analog delays, digital delays, etc. Each has varied by type, manufacturer, and internal structure. From the distinctive distortion and warmth of tape, the unique tonal change produced by an analog BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) circuit, to the lo-fi sound typical of low-resolution digital circuitry, the DelayLab delivers perfect models for a carefully selected set of historically significant delay units that have fascinated guitarists through the years. There are also numerous special types of effects such as pitch change, panning, and reverse. Parameters not found on the original models are also provided, offering unique expressive possibilities that go beyond simply modeling the classic units of the past.

Delay innovations
The DelayLab also contains numerous practical and original delay effects that will inspire any guitarist. Dual Delay makes effective use of two delays; Distortion Delay adds distortion to only the delayed sound; Reverse Delay can adjust the mix ratio between forward and reverse sound; Space Delay applies a string-like tonal effect to deepen the sound. Integrated Stereo Looper

Double your creativity with two independent loops
The Dynamic Looper provides two independent loops, with a combined total record time of 90 seconds. Each loop can be stacked with an infinite number of tracks using innovative Sound on Sound recording, with no loss of fidelity. This two-loop design opens up complex and highly original performance techniques, such as switching between phrases of different lengths, or containing different chord patterns. Recording loops is smooth and easy; the Dynamic Looper offers a variety of tools to help you along. Auto Recording Start waits for your first note; the metronome can provide a rhythmic guide; and the Loop Quantize function uses the tempo to create perfect-length phrases that loop on the beat.

Overdub with undo and redo
Build up impressive loops and performances by overdubbing a new part on to a recorded phrase. Use the undo function to remove the last overdub; the redo feature puts it back! This allows for not only getting flawless overdubs, but also opens the door for sophisticated performances.

Pre Effects add unlimited variety to your sound
Eleven types of Pre Effect that can be applied to your sound as you perform. A diverse selection is provided, and each offers numerous options. For example, a single effect can offer a clean sound, compressor effect, vintage-feeling overdrive or an aggressive metal distortion – and more! There are also standard effects such as wah and delay, and unusual effects such as filter, synth, and even bass and acoustic guitar instrument simulators. With just a single guitar, you'll be able to enjoy an incredible range of instruments and sounds.

Loop Effects radically transform your recorded phrases
The Dynamic Looper also provides a variety of Loop Effects that can be applied to the recorded phrases, transforming the phrases in dramatic ways. Eleven effect types are provided; multiple variations of each effect allow the creation of highly original phrases, and the ability to still add to a loop after it has been recorded. These include unusual effects such as pitch change and reverse playback, as well as fresh new effect types such as Loop In Loop, Scrub, and Stutter effects – great for generating twisting, rhythmic performances. Loop effects create an entirely new arsenal of sounds never before possible on the guitar.

Performance Effects
As you play, there are even more features in the Dynamic Looper to enhance your musical presentation. The Master Limiter offers both a Soft and a Hard setting. The Limiter helps to maintain a consistent level between the original signal and the recorded loop playback, as well as the levels between the two loops. Three Stop effects determine how the loop playback will end – with clean, delay, and fade-out options.

100 Programs
Overall, the Dynamic Looper offers 100 programs. A single program contains the settings for the Pre Effect, the Loop Effect, and the pedal assignment. There are 50 preset programs ready for immediate use, letting you enjoy the Dynamic Looper's possibilities right away. You can also create and store up to 50 of your own programs in the user program area, either by editing one of the preset programs or by starting from scratch.

Intuitive Control Pedal
One of the most important features of the Dynamic Looper is the control pedal. Styled like a traditional VOX wah pedal, this rugged pedal can change the input Volume, a specified Pre Effect parameter, or a specified Loop Effect parameter in real time to transform the sound. Use the pedal to control the Pre Effects as you record, then switch it to control the Loop Effect on playback, or continue using the pedal to control the sound as you continue to play. This convenient pedal control is intuitive and easy to use.

Resample to create even more complex loop phrases
While using the Loop Effect and/or control pedal to modify the loop phrase as it plays back, you can use the Resampling function to re-record the result. Resampling allows the layering of multiple loop phrases and effects, adding to the intricacy of the looped phrases. Re-sampling can also be used to create loops of a different length than the previously-recorded loop. Creative and diverse performance possibilities await you.

Pre FX Target Mode
In addition to the standard instrument input (1/4” unbalanced); the Dynamic Looper is also equipped with an XLR input for a dynamic microphone. This input also has its own trim knob for setting the mic level. The Pre Effect can be set to apply to the instrument input, the mic input or both simultaneously. This simple feature unlocks even more performance possibilities.
