DR-07MKII Overview
TASCAM’s DR-07mkII improves on one of the best-selling portable recorders ever with adjustable microphones, clear sound quality and a great new design. The stereo recorder features a pair of adjustable condenser microphones. The built-in cardioid pattern mics can be moved from an XY position, for tight imaging, to an AB position, for a wider ambient sound. Choose the best sound depending on the source and environment.


Superior Sound Quality
The sound of the DR-07mkII reflects over 30 years of TASCAM’s recording experience. A separate power supply for the codec enables the full capabilities of the A/D and D/A converter, and separate analog & digital circuit boards and low impedance circuit design reduce noise in the design. The DR-07mkII records to microSD or microSDHC media, recording in MP3 or WAV (BWF) file format at up to 96kHz/24-bit resolution.

The 1/8” mic/line input allows you to plug in your own microphones and can supply plug-in power for mics that need it. The Level Align function prevents uneven volume levels during playback through the 1/8” headphone output or built-in speaker. Variable-Speed Audition – which changes playback speed without affecting pitch – and looping are also available during playback for transcription or learning new music. 17.5 hours of longer battery life at 44.1kHz/16-bit, WAV (BWF) is long enough for any recording situation.

Advanced Recording Features
Sharing some features with the new DR-05, the DR-07mkII makes recording simple enough for any musician. The Peak reduction function sets the optimum recording level even in recording to avoid the over level. Quick Menu selects commonly used parameters in playback or record like auto level setting or limiting, while deeper settings are available through a full-featured setup menu.

Some DR-07mkII features that aren’t found on the DR-05 include Overdub mode, which records over your previous take but keeps a copy of the original. The portable recorder also includes Auto Record and Auto Mark settings for hands-off operation. A reverb effect is also provided to give your recordings that mastered polish.

High-end Recording Quality

TASCAM's DR-07mkII puts premium recording quality in the palm of your hand. Up to 96kHz/24-bit Broadcast WAV film recording provides better than CD quality to capture every detail. Record WAV or MP3 files to the included 2GB microSD Card, or expand with your own microSD & SDHC media.

Like all TASCAM products, the DR-07mkII is simple to use with functions like two-button record and the Quick Menu for fast setting changes.

Adjustable Condenser Microphones
Attached to the DR-07mkII are a pair of cardioid condenser microphones. The stereo microphones can be arranged in an XY recording pattern for tight stereo imaging or in an AB pattern for a more ambient recording.

The built-in microphones capture a wide, natural frequency range suitable for any type of voice or musical recording. A 1/8" microphone input is also available for adding your own stereo microphone or recording a line-level source.

When flipping the microphone orientation, the left and right channels automatically flip for correct stereo placement.

Overdub Recording
Perfect for songwriters, the DR-07mkII allows you to build up an arrangement part by part for a full production. Record a guitar demo, then try out a melody by singing along with your previous take. Your original recording is kept, and a second, mixed file is created. The DR-07mkII includes stereo reverb you can use on playback, or use it during recording for a pro, polished sound.

Peak Limiter Prevents Clipping
A built-in stereo peak limiter prevents unexpected loud sounds from distorting your recording. Just flip it on to keep sudden jumps from ruining your takes.

Another recording mode is the Auto Level setting, which sets the level based on the sound level in the room. Other settings include a low cut filter, useful for removing rumble or wind noise when outdoors. (A windscreen is also sold seperately.)

Useful Playback Features
Like most TASCAM handheld recorders, the DR-07mkII includes playback modes to loop a section of playback or slow it down without changing the pitch, perfect for learning new music. A built-in speaker is included for checking recording without headphones. The Level Align feature smooths out level jumps during playback to help you monitor your raw, unmastered recordings.

A stereo reverb effect is available during playback or recording. Another handy additions include a chromatic tuner and tripod mount.

Overview
Riot is a versatile high-gain distortion pedal with the sonic characteristics and touch sensitivity of a high quality 100 watt tube amplifier. Riot will transform a clean amp into an authoritative rock tone that inspires all of your favorite riffs.

Controls
Riot features an easy to tweak layout which includes Gain, Level, Tone and a three position Voicing switch.​
​Dist: Adjusts the amount of gain added to your tone, taking you from classic crunch to high-gain heaven.
Level: Adjusts the output of the pedal. Riot provides enough level to push the front end of any tube amp into natural overdrive.

The distinctive feature of the series is the presence of three outputs intended for implementation of basic types of channels organization:

  • direct connection to guitar system power amp;

Among the funs of contemporary sound there are many of who prefer a slightly refined but at the same time fascinating sound of Sharp channel of Bogner / Hafler TG, whose cold aggressiveness is conveyed by B-2 preamp. 

 
General Information
Two-channel LA-2 series preamp effects are designed to produce clean and overdriven guitar sound within a variety of guitar channel organization. The basic concept of the series is "your own sound in your pocket." LA-2 incorporates original circuit designs developed by the specialists of AMT, which allow to obtain bright and rich sound in the style of the original tube overdrives using low-voltage (9V) power and low current consumption.

The distinctive feature of the series is the presence of three outputs intended for implementation of basic types of channels organization:

  • direct connection to guitar system power amp;
  • connection to "clean" channel of a guitar combo or amp;
  • direct connection to a mixer.

All three outputs can be used simultaneously!, thus fully carrying out its functions and not interfering with each other. When connected to the amp or a mixer La-2 acts as a two-channel preamp providing switch between clean and overdriven channels by means of a footswitch. CLEAN channel is universal for all models of the series and sounds in the style of classic Fender amps.

When using LA-2 in effect mode the "clean" channel of an external amplifier or a combo is used. Please be aware that the used combo or amplifier largely determines the resulting sound.
When in effect mode the series uses "partial" active bypass, which reduces the need to minimize the length of used cables and retains the original sound of the instrument when the effect is off. 

Controls
LA-2 series preamps are easy to use due to the small number of controls.
The sensitivity of channels is defined by the position CLEAN GAIN and DRIVE GAIN controls. Different models of the series have different overall drive-channel sensitivity corresponding to the sensitivity of the emulated overdrive.

TREBLE, MIDDLE, BASS controls provide adjustable high, middle and lower frequencies of Drive channel. The button switch like Clean Mid-Boost enables selection of tonal ratio from among mid, high and low frequencies of the preamp’s "clean" channel. Protecting Your Investment
Because we know you demand the most from your speakers, we added some extra circuitry to keep your Thump loudspeakers performing at their best, even when pushed really hard for long periods of time. Each driver has its own transparent compression circuit, which helps protect them from damaging transient peaks. An over-excursion filter, inserted just before the low frequency amplifier, protects the woofer from bottoming-out when the low-end is driven to the maximum. This means you can hit them hard without fear of thermal damage. We know things can get pretty hot in the real world, so if the electronics do overheat, separate thermal switches activate and shut down the high and/or low frequency amplifiers until they cool down. These safeguards ensure long life and great-sounding loudspeakers you can always count on.
