ZOOM A3 Pre-Amp & Effects for Acoustic Guitar

Price List Rp.2.390.000
ZOOM A3 Pre-Amp & Effects for Acoustic Guitar
Acoustic Revelation.
Pickup systems are the most popular option for amplifying acoustic guitars on stage, however most are unable to capture the unique tone of each instrument. As a result, different guitars can take on similar flat, electric-acoustic characteristics and they all sound the same when amplified or plugged into a PA.

Zoom’s A3 is the first pedal of its kind. It allows players to restore the natural tone of their acoustic guitars while continuing to use pickup systems for amplification. In addition to being a powerful acoustic preamp, the A3 offers unrivaled acoustic remodeling features, amazing acoustic effects and much more for crafting acoustic guitar sounds for both live and studio applications.

Elements of design.
Within a heavy duty, die-cast body, the A3 features a main EFFECT footswitch, two secondary footswitches (ANTI FEEDBACK and BOOST), as well as a large LCD and a variety of analog-style cursor keys and parameter knobs that together form an easy-to-use graphical interface. This intuitive design makes restoring the tone of your acoustic guitar, as well as creating and saving new acoustic tones, a breeze and provides easy navigation in live and studio settings.

Restore your sound.
By selecting the body and model type of the guitar that you’re playing, you can restore the true sound of your acoustic guitar. The A3 offers a selector for 16 body types and 28 models that simulate the sonic characteristics of various acoustic guitars with different body shapes and constructed of different materials.

16 Body Types.
The A3 allows you to choose from 16 guitar body types to re-create the signature sounds of differing body shapes. From the Dreadnought body setting, which generates a large tone full of rich low frequencies, to the Orchestra body setting, featuring an outstanding response and tonal balance, the A3 has the ability to remodel the sonic qualities of a wide range of unique body types.

28 Models.
The A3 also has the ability to recreate the distinct sound components of 28 of the world’s most famous acoustic guitars. The A3 even accounts for the subtlest of differences between these models. The pedal accurately recreates the tone differences between guitars with the same body shape, but different bracing or wood from which they are made (spruce, mahogany, rosewood, etc.).

Acoustic preamp for both pickups and mics.
The A3’s pre-amp, specifically designed for acoustic guitars, can be used with piezoelectric, magnetic and passive pickups. In addition, the pedal’s XLR-1/4-inch combination Mic input, which can provide phantom power, allows you to connect a microphone and mix its signal with that of your pickup via dedicated knobs. The A3’s pre-amp section also features a 3-band EQ for adjusting your guitar tone according to your performance environment and a BALANCE knob to set the ratio of the original sound (DRY) and the sound after adding effects (WET).

40 acoustic effects.
With a focus on spatial effects, including chorus, delay and reverb, the A3 offers 40 diverse types of acoustic effects to enhance the sound of your guitar. Effects range from compressors that suppress input peaks and even out sound levels to detuning effects that create the sound of a 12-string guitars and everything in between. With the A3, you can use up to two effects and one acoustic guitar model simultaneously and arrange them in any order you like. You to create and store up to 20 original patches on the A3.

Eliminate feedback on up to three frequencies simultaneously.
If you experience feedback from your acoustic guitar during a performance, just engage the A3’s ANTI FEEDBACK footswitch. While keeping changes to your tone to a minimum, the ANTI FEEDBACK function will detect the frequency that is causing the feedback and eliminate it with a steep filter. Later, if you experience additional feedback, just hit the footswitch again. The ANTI FEEDBACK function can handle up to three problematic frequencies at once.

Boost your sound up to 12dB.
The A3’s BOOST function can be used to reduce volume differences between fingerpicking, chord strokes and other playing techniques, as well as to increase amplification during solos. The pedal can provide a clean boost of up to 12dB. You can also use the TONE parameter to adjust the sound of the level increase when the BOOST is active.

The most realistic sounds to date.
The all-new ZFX-IV DSP effects processor boasts amazing power and clarity, upgrading everything from sound to functionality and operability over previous ZFX versions. By using 32-bit floating-point processing, the A3 can produce sounds that are more realistic than ever before.

Stereo or headphone out.
The A3 features two 1/4-inch outputs that allow you to maximize the characteristics of the pedal’s stereo effects and record them using line level connections. In addition, you can connect headphones directly to the A3 and listen to your tones no matter where you are.

Precise tuning.
The pedal’s auto-chromatic tuner offers smooth, real-time response with precise bass tuning and accuracy. Whether you’re in the middle of a performance or practicing alone, simply hold down the pedal’s footswitch to start getting your strings back in tune. In addition, the A3’s LCD makes the tuner easy to see on a dark stage. You can also tune silently in the tuner’s MUTE mode or with all effects bypassed in its BYPASS mode.

Tap the tempo.
Use the Tap Tempo feature to match the tempo of a song in real-time as you play. You can also use it for delay times and modulation effect frequencies.
The tuner cannot be used when the tap tempo function is active.

Pick your patch order.
With the A3, you can program which patches are recalled and the order in which they appear. For example, you could select three patches—(A) ARPEGGIO, (B) RHYTHM and (C) SOLO—and program the A3 to cycle through only those three tones each time you press the footswitch.

Balanced XLR output for DI use.
With the pedal’s balanced XLR output, you can avoid using DI boxes completely. Just connect the A3 to any mixing console to maintain a balanced, high quality signal. The pedal’s GROUND switch can also be used to eliminate hum caused by ground loops.

Dedicated pickup input.
Piezoelectric pickups tend to capture high frequencies far better than the lows, giving you a thin sound. On the other hand, magnetic pickups allow the low end to dominate your tone and produce more of an electric sound. The A3 features a pickup input to compensate for frequency ranges that are lost or overemphasized by your pickups. As such, the A3 can optimize your tone according to the pickup characteristics of you guitar.

You can use the FLAT setting to bypass pickup input compensation.

Super-low noise design.
The A3’s super-low noise design virtually eliminates background noise and the ZNR noise reduction removes feedback and other unwanted sounds, providing you with clear tones, along with natural decay and reverb tails.

Power proof.
The A3 can operate on three different power sources: AC adapter (included), batteries or USB bus power when plugged into your computer. Four AA alkaline batteries (not included) provide up to eight hours of continuous use.

Firmware updates for the A3 can also be performed when plugged into your computer via USB.

Dynamics / Filter
Sixteen different ways to shape and control your sound with compressors, noise gates, filters, equalizers and wah effects. Emulate the classic tone of the MXR Dynacomp, dbx 160, Moog Filter or Z. Vex Seek-Wah, or create all-new effects using the automatic Slow Attack, parametric equalizer or six-band graphic EQ. Overdrive / Distortion

Our amp sounds are so lifelike, you'll swear on a stack of speaker cabinets you're listening to the real thing.

Modulation / Special effects
Round out your sound with your choice of twenty-four phasers and flangers, plus chorus, pitch shift, tremolo and vibrato. The G1on/G1Xon offers a wealth of features that make it easy to dial in the exact sound you want.

Effects Chaining  Complex multi-effects made easy.
Question: When is a guitar effects pedal not just an effects pedal? Answer: When it's a multi-effects pedal.
The G1on/G1Xon not only allows you to select and edit any of its onboard effects, it enables you to use up to 5 of them simultaneously, chained together in any order you like. This kind of power and flexibility means that you can create rich, complex effects within the unit itself instead of having to use multiple pedals.

Stompbox chains typically start with dynamics effects such as compression, before routing the signal to wah, EQ, distortion and/or overdrive effects. Modulation and spatial effects such as chorus, delay and reverb are usually placed at the end of the chain.

However, there are no hard and fast rules on how to chain effects. Exciting new sounds can easily be discovered with a little experimentation and some imaginative effect chaining. The G1on/G1Xon gives you the ability to get creative with your effects chaining.

You can also easily edit chains you’ve previously created. Simple changes in the order of effects can alter sounds dramatically. For example, an EQ set before an amp model can result in a radically different sound than having the EQ set after the amp model. That's because putting the EQ before the amp model serves to not only alter the tonal characteristic of the sound but to act as a signal booster as well. All this can be done internally with the G1on/G1Xon—much easier than physically changing the order of stompboxes.
Tuner Stayin' in tune.
Guitarists know the importance of playing in tune. But it's not just about getting your instrument in tune; it's about keeping it in tune all night. That's no problem if you're using a G1on/G1Xon, because its built-in Tuner makes the task totally stress-free, even under the pressure of a live gig and the heat of stage lighting.

The G1on/G1Xon Tuner is instantly accessible at all times: All you have to do is step on the two foot pedals simultaneously and the backlit LCD screen immediately shows you whether the note you're playing is sharp, flat, or dead on. You can opt to either bypass the currently selected effect (thus giving you a clean, unaffected sound) when tuning, or to mute the signal altogether, allowing you to tune in silence.

The G1on/G1Xon Tuner is incredibly flexible, too: It can be set to a reference of A=440, or any value between 435 and 445, and can be used chromatically or in a variety of standard guitar tunings—even drop tunings of up to 3 semitones.

Rhythms The perfect accompaniment.
Rhythm training is an important part of every guitarist's craft. The G1on/G1Xon Rhythm function makes it easy and fun to do. 68 realistic-sounding rhythms are at your fingertips: PCM samples of actual drums playing real-life patterns in a variety of different genres—everything from rock to jazz, from Emo to Motown. Dozens of quarter-note, eighth-note and sixteenth-note rhythms are provided, in 4/4, 6/8 (shuffle) and 3/4 (waltz time); for the adventurous, there's even a 5/4 groove!
The Rhythm function can also be used in conjunction with the Looper function (see below), allowing you to craft complex guitar orchestrations overlaying the pattern of your choice.

Looper  Build a complete performance.
Got a great lick that you'd like to expand on, or a distinctive chord progression that you think could serve as the foundation for an exciting improvisation or an inspired solo? Explore your creativity to its fullest with the G1on/G1Xon Looper function, which allows you to layer up to 30 seconds of performance (through the effect or effects of your choice) in high quality audio (16-bit 44.1kHz). Recording time can either be set manually or to a preset number of quarter notes, up to 64 beats, and starting and stopping the Looper (as well as readying it for an overdub or clearing its memory altogether) is as easy as pressing a pedal—no hands required.
The G1on/G1Xon Looper can also be used in conjunction with the Rhythm function, allowing you to play along with the pattern of your choice.

Auto Save  Edits saved. All the time.
Finally got that perfect effect crafted, but afraid you'll lose it? It'll never happen when you use the G1on/G1Xon's handy Auto Save function. When switched on, whatever you change will automatically be saved.

Alternatively, if you'd prefer the insurance of a safety net (so that you never accidentally overwrite a patch), simply leave Auto Save off. The G1on/G1Xon will then politely ask you if you want to save your edits whenever you move on to a different patch. Settings can be saved to the currently selected memory area, or to any other area, allowing you to place it where it's most convenient.

The G1on/G1Xon makes naming patches a breeze, too—simply use the parameter knob to dial in the characters you want. Patch names can be up to ten characters long, and each patch can be assigned its own level as well, allowing you to ensure consistent volume even when going from a gentle acoustic sound to heavy metal overdrive.

Pre Select Choose the effect you want before the audience hears it.
Normally, you'll want to store your custom G1on/G1Xon patches adjacent to one another so that stepping on the right-hand pedal will scroll through them in the order needed—something that's easily accomplished using the handy Copy and Swap functions. In that circumstance, you'll also want the sound to change immediately, and this is the way the G1on/G1Xon normally operates.

However, if you haven't stored your patches in adjacent memory locations, or if you simply get the urge to experiment and change things up in the middle of a performance, just turn on the G1on/G1Xon Pre Select function. This allows you to scroll through patches silently, with the current sound remaining unchanged as you do so. When you find the patch you want to use next, step on both pedals simultaneously and it will be automatically selected, with the sound changing instantly.

Power functions More power to you.
When it comes to powering your G1on/G1Xon, you've got lots of options. It runs on just 4 AA batteries—either alkaline or rechargeable NiMH—or you can use the optional Zoom AD-16 AC adapter to power it from any standard wall socket.

When running on batteries, the G1on/G1Xon powers up automatically when a jack is inserted into its input connector, and a unique "eco" function can be used to automatically power the unit off if unused for 10 hours.

Battery life (when using alkaline batteries) is more than 20 hours, even during continuous use, and a handy "battery remaining" display shows you how much power is remaining. To extend battery life further still, you can opt to have the backlit LCD display turn off automatically after 15 or 30 seconds after the pedal was last used.

The G1Xon expression pedal Express yourself.
The G1Xon adds an expression pedal to the two main pedals, allowing you to alter any selected parameter in real time. You can use it for gain drive or volume (affecting either input or output level), to add wah or filtering, to affect delay time or modulation speed, or a variety of other parameters. In addition, the pedal range can be independently adjusted for every patch—you can even set the minimum value higher than the maximum value for reverse pedaling effects.

There's also a simple calibration procedure which enables you to customize pedal sensitivity. Whether you're a feather-light player or a real lead-foot, the G1Xon can adapt to your particular pedaling style.
