Designed And Tuned By EAW
The new C Series Passive Loudspeakers represent Mackie's first lightweight passive speakers designed and tuned exclusively by the Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) loudspeaker engineering team--the same folks responsible for designing loudspeaker systems for the Super Bowl, the Olympics and the Vatican. And although loudspeakers for these mega-systems cost exponentially more than the humble C200, some of the same concepts applied, namely: designing custom 10" LF drivers with a frequency range from 59 Hz – 3000 Hz and a 2" voice coil that can take a pounding. And a 1.4" High-Frequency titanium Driver and Horn providing a wide, controlled dispersion pattern and precise reproduction of the critical 1000 Hz – 20,000 Hz upper mid-range and high frequencies.

Crossover Tuned To Perfection
Tuning a crossover (i.e. voicing a system), involves dozens of critical decisions that many manufacturers overlook. In the end, it is all about balancing the design so that you get the best subjective results from the speaker while maintaining a good technical implementation. The crossover in the C Series is a unique Low Impedance Compensated Crossover (LICC) design with an asymmetrical slope. With EQ and crossover points meticulously chosen so that beamwidth patterns match in both drivers, C Series loudspeakers offer natural sound at all volume levels. Read more.


Ultra-Wide Dispersion
A loudspeaker's dispersion characteristic shouldn't be lame just because its compact in size. We know that venues like coffee houses and small theatre / rec rooms can be hard to cover. Owners usually have to make do with odd shaped rooms and fixtures placed wherever they fit.
The C200's high-frequency compression driver is mounted on an acoustically non-resonant exponential waveguide, providing a wide, controlled dispersion pattern and precise reproduction of the critical upper mid-range and high frequencies. The result is an unbelievably smooth off-axis response that allows everyone in the audience to experience the same high-resolution audio no matter where they are seated.

Thinking Inside The Box
Anyone with a factory can build a box and stick some speakers in it (and that's just what many do). But low-frequency transducers in square boxes can create resonances that reflect off the rear wall and pass through the woofer cone out of phase, and ready to mess up your sound. The C200 enclosure is an asymmetrical monocoque design with no parallel surfaces, causing mid and high frequency resonances to be reflected at angles into internal damping materials, instead of interfering with the woofer doing its thing.

Built For Serious Abuse
Designed for use with existing speakers and power amps (and optimized for use with the Mackie PPM Series), the C200 loudspeakers are passive versions of our industry-standard SRM350 portable active loudspeakers. These speakers' injection-molded composite chassis is built for the rigors of the road. And they shrug off impacts that would turn those cheap-o, fuzz covered wood box speakers into toothpicks.

Makes A Wonderful Floor Monitor Too!
A good floor monitor plays loudly without generating feedback through vocal microphones. A poor floor monitor, on the other hand, will generate feedback just about the time you turn it up to a useable level. Floor monitor feedback is often caused by uneven frequency response and dispersion; some frequencies arrive at the microphone much louder than others. These "spikes" are what trigger feedback as the floor monitor volume is increased. The C200 has incredibly smooth, spike-free response and dispersion over a wide range of treble frequencies. So you can increase its volume without boosting those nasty, feedback-inducing spikes. Without extensive tuning, no passive speaker or specialized floor wedge in this class can even come close.

COSM Amps And Three Independent Channels
The CUBE-40GX is equipped with a wide range of COSM amp types and three independent channels for maximum tonal versatility. The JC CLEAN channel provides the renowned clean tone of Roland’s famous JC-120, while the LEAD channel offers ten different amp choices, from blackface clean to Brit overdrive to the original EXTREME amp for massive, high-gain metal riffs. CUBE JAM also records audio through the i-CUBE LINK connection, letting you capture your jams with a single touch. Single USB Connection, Instant Studio
With Yamaha’s MW10C and MW8CX USB Mixing Studio mixers, making great music is easier than ever before. Connect the new MW to a USB terminal on your laptop or desktop computer, and you’ve got an instant, high-quality audio recording studio at your command. The MW delivers true plug-and-play USB audio input/output interfacing—without the need for special software drivers—and lets you easily record mono inputs or two- track stereo mixes of multiple sources to your computer.

Flexible 8-Channel And 10-Channel Configurations
The MW8CX gives you a total of eight inputs, including four ultra-low-noise mic preamps. The MW10C gives you an additional stereo channel for a total of ten inputs. The high-performance balanced microphone inputs also have a phantom power switch, allowing you to take advantage of the superior sonic quality of professional-level condenser microphones.

Flexible 12-Channel Configuration
The MW12C and MW12CX both give you a total of twelve inputs, including four mono microphone/line inputs and four stereo line inputs. Two of the stereo line inputs can also function as mono microphone inputs, providing up to six simultaneous microphone inputs if you need them. The high-performance ultra-low-noise balanced microphone inputs also have a phantom power switch, allowing you to take advantage of the superior sonic quality of professional-level condenser microphones.

Assignable REC Out
In addition to the normal stereo buss, the MW12C and MW12CX has assignable busses (REC OUT). This feature gives you addes flexibility in routing the signals for recording and monitoring. Turning on the ON switch for any channel immediately routes that channel to the USB terminal and enables it for recording. Multiple channels selected in this way are, of course, recorded to a stereo mix on the computer. In this condition, each channel is also mixed to the stereo buss and can be monitored (with the Monitor Mix function).

Easy-To-Use 1-Knob Compression
Compression—the taming of wildly varying levels in vocals, bass and guitar—is one of the most important effects used in recording and mixing. It is also one of the most subtle and difficult to use. Not with the new MW series mixers, however. The innovative 1-knob analog compressor (on the mono input channels) lets you dial in just the amount of compression you need in recording, without having to set multiple parameters like threshold, ratio and makeup gain. One knob does it all for you—instantly giving you great, punchy sound.

Easy-To-Use 1-Knob Compression Monitor Mix
This convenient feature gives you simple control over the balance between the signals being recorded and the playback signals being monitored. This is particularly helpful when recording several sources at the same time, letting you use a single knob to adjust the balance of the playback and recording signals for monitoring purposes. Naturally, this doesn’t affect the recording level; it simply allows you to control what you want to hear.

Easy Access Panel And High Quality Parts
Top-mounted input and output connectors make setting up and re-patching your system quick and easy. Both models feature high-quality NeutrikTM balanced XLR connectors for the microphone inputs. Long-throw, smooth-action faders give you precise and tactile control over signal levels. The mixer also has a bright and large 12-segment LED meter for visual signal indication.

Built in SPX Effects
For those who like the convenience of having signal processing right inside the mixer, the MW8CX and MW12CX incorporates a versatile digital multi-effect unit that provides a variety of reverb, delay, modulation, and distortion programs you can use to enhance your sound, or completely transform it—without the need for an external device. Each of the 16 effect programs has a number of editable parameters as well as effect on/off switching capability and return level control. If you need to keep both hands free to play an instrument or perform other operations, an optional footswitch can be connected to the mixer’s effect footswitch jack for convenient on/off switching.

Dedicated On switches for each channel let you enable or disable (mute) individual input channels as desired, while the lamps on the switches give you instant visual indication about which channels are on.
