ZOOM F8 Multitrack Field Recorder

Price List Rp.13.700.000
ZOOM F8 Multitrack Field Recorder
THE ZOOM F8 For Filmmaking and Sound Design
Advances in video have made filmmaking accessible to creators everywhere. But the accessibility of professional audio devices has not kept pace. Field recorders, with essential features such as time code, have been unobtainable for most. Until now.
The F8 is made for serious filmmakers and sound designers.
With 8-input/10-track recording, super low-noise preamps, and support for 24-bit/192 kHz audio, the F8 captures the highest-quality audio.
< Notice about using SHURE SM93 with Zoom F8 (PDF) >

The Facts
Mic pre's
Outfitted with our finest mic preamps to date, the F8 features an extremely low noise floor (−127 dBu EIN) and high gain (up to 75 dB), with +4 dB line inputs.

High-resolution audio and advanced limiters
The F8 can record at 24-bit/192 kHz resolution and is equipped with onboard limiters designed to provide overload protection. Limiting can be applied to all 8 channels simultaneously at full resolution, with 10dB of headroom and controls for setting threshold, attack, and release.

Time code with pinpoint accuracy

The F8’s time code is state-of-the-art. It utilizes a Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) that generates time code at 0.2 ppm accuracy, enabling rock-solid syncing of audio and video.

The F8 supports all standard dropframe and non-drop formats, and can jam sync to time code being provided by external devices. An input and output are provided on standard BNC connectors, enabling easy integration into any rig.

Weight and build
The F8 is not only versatile and feature rich, it is the smallest field recorder with eight XLR combo inputs ever made. Weighing just 2.1 pounds (without batteries), its aluminum chassis is both rugged and durable.

Display
Sound professionals sometimes work in dusty, hard-to-see environments. Level meters with adjustable brightness and its 2.4 inch full-color backlit LCD (which can be set to monochrome mode), make the F8 easy to use in any environment — from low-light to direct sunlight.

File formats, resolution, and sample rates
The F8 records in BWF-compatible WAV format at 16 or 24-bit resolution, and at any standard sample rate up to 192 kHz. When recording files in MP3 format, you can choose bit rates of 128, 192, or 320 kbps.

The Features
The F8 provides every option you need to create professional field recordings:

  • Phantom power (+24V/+48V) can be turned on and off for each input individually.
  • Plug in any Zoom mic capsule.
  • 10 tracks—8 input channels, plus a stereo mix track*—allow you to simultaneously record stereo and surround sound.
  • An onboard mixer with flexible routing of all inputs and outputs (pre- and post-fader). Each channel has controls for pan, input/output delay, filtering, and limiting.
  • The F8 can be mounted to a tripod and attached to your camera using the included mounting bracket.
* Stereo mix track not recorded when 192 kHz sampling rate is selected

Redundancy is always good… Always.
Dual SD card recording
Record on two SD/SDHC/SDXC cards*, up to 512 GB each, simultaneously, allowing you to instantly backup or split recordings (for example, save eight tracks onto one card and a stereo mix onto another).

ZOOM iQ5 Profesional Stereo Microphone

Price List Rp.1.275.000
ZOOM iQ5 Profesional Stereo Microphone
A revolution in stereo microphones for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The Zoom iQ5 is a high-quality mid-side stereo condenser mic, perfect for recording music and compact enough to be slipped into your pocket. Simply connect it to the Lightning connector of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and get ready to do some serious stereo recording any time, any place.

Use it vertically or use it horizontally
The iQ5 employs a unique rotating mechanism that enables audio recording with correct left-right stereo orientation whether used vertically or horizontally. Use it in standard "audio" position or simply rotate it to the "video" position in order to record video with the attached iPhone, iPad or iPod touch held horizontally.
Use it vertically or use it horizontally

Mid-side recording made easy
Mid-side recording makes it easy for anyone to record in realistic (and fully mono-compatible) stereo. The iQ5 actually contains two microphone elements: a directional "mid" mic that captures audio coming from in front and a bidirectional "side" mic that covers ambient signal. Stereo width can be set to 90° or 120° according to the recording situation, or you can opt to record the mid and side mic signals as RAW data and then use Zoom's Handy Recorder iOS app to adjust the stereo width from 30o to 150o. This allows you to go from a tight sound focused on a single instrument to a wide image that includes the surrounding ambience and reverberation. The app even allows you to collapse the signal into phase-coherent mono, which is great for interviews, narration and other voice recordings.

Precision gain control
The iQ5 makes it easy to get great sound no matter what kind of material you're recording. Its analog-type MIC GAIN wheel allows you to dial in the perfect amount of gain for any recording application. Or choose one of three Auto Gain presets (Concert / Solo / Meeting) to automatically set the recording level for any given situation. You can also use the iQ5's built-in Limiter to avoid input overloads.
Note: The Handy Recorder app is required to enable the Auto Gain function.

Check your sound on headphones
The iQ5 has a dedicated headphone jack that enables direct monitoring during recording and playback.

The Handy Recorder app
Zoom's free Handy Recorder app is specially designed for use with the iQ5. Simply download it from the App Store and install it on your iOS devices. The app allows you to record in linear PCM format for the highest quality sound, or in AAC format to conserve storage space. It also enables you to apply compression, EQ and reverb effects, as well as normalize and divide files. Using the Handy Recorder app, you can even upload files to the SoundCloud audio sharing site, so you can immediately share your recording with the world.

* Click Here to download the PDF manual of Handy Recorder app.

Superior audio
The Handy Recorder app allows you to record in linear PCM (WAV) 16-bit/44.1kHz format for CD-quality audio that accurately captures the full subtlety of acoustic instruments and spaces. When you need to conserve storage space for long recordings, you can instead record in compressed AAC format for smaller file sizes and faster data transfer.

Effects to shape the sound
The Handy Recorder effects presets enable you to easily shape and control your sound. Add reverb for extra richness, or dynamics processing to give performances more punch. Six-band EQ enables full tonal control, and there's also a normalization feature that allows you to increase the volume of your recordings to the maximum possible level.

File division
With the DIVIDE function, you can separate files into their important components. By deleting unnecessary sections, you can increase the amount of open space on your iOS device and extend the available recording time.

Automatic recording
The Handy Recorder's automatic recording function can be used to start and stop recording when a preset level is reached?convenient when recording meetings or speeches and in other situations when you want to capture sound only when it rises above a certain level.

Share your music on SoundCloud
The Handy Recorder app enables you to directly upload your recordings to “SoundCloud”and share your music with people around the world.

Use the iQ5 with other apps, too
The iQ5 can be used with most iOS apps that support audio input from an external microphone. For example, you can use it with the standard iOS Camera app to record high quality audio to go with your video and then use streaming apps to broadcast live performances. The iQ5 can also be used to record vocals and instruments when using music apps like Apple's GarageBand.

ZOOM R24 Total Music Produstion

Price List Rp.5.292.000
ZOOM R24 Total Music Produstion
The Total Music Production Solution.
Zoom takes its revolutionary R16 and turbocharges it with a sampler and drum machine, eight additional recording tracks and six channels of phantom-power on the all-new R24. The R24 combines four production tools into one incredibly versatile device. In addition to 24-track playback and 8-track simultaneous recording using SD memory cards, the R24 is a digital multi-track recorder, an audio interface, a control surface and a pad sampler.

The R24’s new sampler function consists of 24 built-in voices that can be triggered using eight pads and three bank keys to assign sounds to each track and create loops. Also, you can use the unit’s drum machine and its 400 rhythm patterns to create original backing beats, or simply output a metronome for tempo control. More than ever before, you have all the tools necessary to create studio-quality recordings anywhere.

For recording, the R24 comes with a 2GB SD card. It supports up to 32GB SDHC cards for a maximum of 100 track hours. The flexibility of SD recording not only makes the R24 lighter and more portable, it also ensures increased reliability with no concern for a crashing hard drive. Back up your project on a USB memory stick. Or dedicate an SD card to each recording session.

Take your R24 into your studio and record additional tracks using its USB audio interface. Then when you’re ready to mix, use the R24’s control surface capabilities to manage each function of your favorite DAW software.

Incorporate any of the 100+ built-in studio effects to enhance your recording and use the pro-quality mastering effects to complete that studio sound. You can even connect two R24s via USB for synchronized operation and 16 tracks of simultaneous recording.

With the new Zoom R24, versatility, control and comprehensive features come together in a single device that puts everything you need for professional music production right at your fingertips.

Using the R24 for Music

It’s a Recorder.
The R24 is perfect for capturing audio in a variety of settings. It supplies up to six channels with 48V/24V phantom power, so you can record with a variety of condenser microphones on vocals, pianos, guitars or drums. You can record up to eight tracks simultaneously and playback up to 24 tracks in either 16-bit/44.1kHz or 24-bit/48kHz WAV format. So you have enough tracks and power to record everything from complete drum kits to live music performances of bands and orchestras. You can even produce audio and sound effects for film or video.

On its side panels, the R24 also features two built-in stereo condenser microphones for field recording or quick, convenient “sketch-pad” ideas and rehearsals. Use the 8 combination XLR-1/4-inch inputs along with one Hi-Z input for direct connection with a guitar or bass. When your masterwork is ready, you can use over 100 built-in studio effects to enhance your tracks and use the pro-quality mastering effects to complete that studio sound.

It’s an Interface.

The R24 is more than a multi-track recorder. It's also a powerful workstation when using USB power for studio operation. Connect the R24 to your laptop or desktop computer via USB, launch your favorite DAW or use the included Cubase LE 5, and start laying down your production tracks. With simultaneous 8-in/2-out capability, you can record 16-bit/44.1kHz audio or capture high-definition 24-bit/96kHz audio via 2-in/2-out configuration. If you use the sampling rate of 44.1kHz, the internal DSP effects of the R24 are also usable on your computer tracks. Also, a dedicated control lets you adjust the mixing balance between the DAW playback sound and the direct sound for monitoring.

It’s a Controller.

Computers bring incredible control and power to the recording process, but they're not very intuitive when it comes to mixing, which makes your music come alive. So, when you’re ready to mix, the R24 is right there with you. Through a simple USB connection, you can control the transport and mixing functions of major DAW applications such as Cubase, Logic, and Sonar from the R24. No more mixing with a mouse! The R24’s innate mixing console feel and LED meter bridge makes mixing your tracks a pleasure.

And it’s a Sampler.

In addition to assigning sounds to each track to create loops, the R24’s sampler allows you to play the pads in real-time and creates performance data for a complete song by combining loops. By simply lining up drum loops from the included USB memory stick, anyone can easily create pro-quality backing parts and basic tracks. Recording on another track while playing loops is also possible, seamlessly blending the recorder and sampler functions. The rhythm feature can produce backing drum tracks in both real-time and step input, while the metronome settings support the output of a click track to headphones, perhaps to a drummer in a live situation, while the signals from the output jacks are sent to a mixer.

Not only does the R24 offer 400 drum machine patterns to work with, but it includes a USB flash drive containing 500MB of drum loops recorded by the Grammy Award winning jazz/fusion drummer, Peter Erskine. Peter has recorded a variety of grooves specifically for the R24 that will inspire your musical creativity. Also, Big Fish Audio, a top producer of sample libraries, provides the system with 2GB of drum loops. The focus of the R24’s rhythm library is rock, but also includes jazz, funk, country, bossa nova and hip-hop beats.

Location Shoots

Great for sound effects recording or anyone looking for multiple audio feeds in a remote environment, the R24 is a lightweight, portable solution that supplies phantom power to six channels, supporting your use of condenser mics on location video shoots. For media professionals and filmmakers, the R24 makes it easy to record audio with booms, handheld mics or up to eight lavalieres with wireless setups. In addition, the R24 includes a stereo headphone output for continuous monitoring, while the system's LED meter bridge provides an easy way to ensure your levels are appropriately set for any given source.

Expand Your Horizons

The R24 comes equipped with a set of built-in high-sensitivity stereo condenser microphones that come in handy for impromptu recordings of natural sound or ambient room audio on location. In addition, sound effects, speeches and dialog can be captured with excellent clarity for post-production use. You can also connect two R24 systems via USB, one designated as the master and the other as the slave, to support synchronized transport operation and recording on 16 tracks simultaneously.

Good to Go with Battery/Phantom Power

Best of all, the R24 will operate with battery power for over four hours on six standard AA (not included) alkaline batteries for the ultimate in multi-track portability. The R24 is good to go no matter the location of your video shoot. Also, whether on location as a “scratch track” or in the editing studio, video projects typically require additional voiceover tracks. In any such situation, the R24 is ready to perform with its onboard phantom power, high-quality mic preamps and vocal effects.

Post-production - Time is Money

Time is money. And the R24 saves both with its post-production applications. Large amounts of audio can be transferred in no time with the system’s USB 2.0 interface, especially when the video project’s natural sound was recorded on the R24. When being used as a control surface, the R24 serves as a handy audio editing platform for a variety of video editing software packages, most notably Final Cut Pro. During the mastering process, you can sweeten your tracks by using the onboard mixer to create a mix on the fly and bounce it to a stereo master using the built-in mastering effects.

Now, Zoom provides you with everything you need to create professional music recordings from any location by merging a multi-track recorder, audio interface, controller surface and a sampler into the incredible R24.
