HBEGermania 44 Treble BoosterThe Homebrew Electronics HBE Germania 44 Treble Booster.
The HBE Germania 44 is a Treble Booster providing up to 20db of gain. A recreation of the classic Rangemaster Treble Booster, the Germania features true bypass switchis built with NOS European OC44 germanium transistors. The Germania 44 sounds best when ran through the input of a tube amp. Never run the Germania 44 thru an effects loop. Extreme temperatures can affect the performance of the pedal.
Controls:
- Gain control-Varies the amount of gain and treble boost. (Note: It is normal for the gain control to make a “scratchy” noise when turned.)
- Input-Instrument in. Unplug when not in use to conserve battery life.
- Out-Out to Amp
- +9VDC jack-for use with +(positive) center 9VDC, filtered and regulated power supply.
- On/Off- True bypass of effect. (Note: A small pop may occur when effect is switched on/off. This is normal and is a trait associated with true bypass.)
- Hi/Low Fi Switch- Switches between a stock treble boost sound and a more open, brighter sound. (Note: Only switch the Hi/Low Fi switch with Gain know down or pedal off! A loud pop will occur if switched with pedal on and gain up.)
